STUDIO RESIDENCY PROGRAM CELEBRATES A YEAR OF SUCCESS!

Louisiana ArtWorks Unveils Closing Exhibit at Peoples Health ArtVenture 2009
Scheduled for May 29th

The annual studio residency cycle that began in June 2008 at Louisiana
ArtWorks (LAW) is coming to a close with a final exhibition comprised
of installations throughout three floors of the building by the artist
residents. The exhibition will be unveiled during Peoples Health
ArtVenture 2009, the signature, annual fundraiser for Louisiana
ArtWorks to be held May 29th from 7:00?11:00pm. Tickets are available

Additionally, at the request of Honorary Chair, Arthur Roger, a number
of well known artists along with the Studio Residents, have created
self portraits to be sold as part of a silent auction taking place
during the event. Artists participating include Jan Aronson,
Jacqueline Bishop, Margaret Evangeline, Tony Fitzpatrick, Rico Gatson,
Gene Koss & Francis Pavy.

A Live Auction will be emceed by Eric Paulsen of WWL-TV and will
include Private Dinner Parties by Chef John Folse, Chef Greg Reggio,
and Domenica, the new Chef John Besh Restaurant in the Roosevelt
Hotel; and a One-of-a-kind Mignon Faget Pylon Necklace

Another highlight of the evening will be the ArtVenture MarketPlace, a
special sale of fine arts and crafts including a Flat File of works on
paper including work by Brad Benischek, Mary Beyt, Jessica Bizer,
Ralph Bourque, Kyle Bravo, Stephen Collier, Ben Diller, David Dubose,
Margaret Evangeline, Jessica Goldfinch, Shawn Hall, Sally Heller,
Chris Herbeck, Rachael Jones, Frahn Koerner, Rebecca Penton, Julie
Pieri, Megan Roniger, Heather Ryan-Kelly, Stephen Sollins and David
Sullivan.

Peoples Health ArtVenture 2009 will mark another milestone for
Louisiana ArtWorks as the organization welcomes the founding members
of the ArtVenturers? Circle, Louisiana ArtWorks' new annual membership
group. AT&T is hosting the ArtVenturers? Lounge as a special benefit
for the new members. The Lounge will feature specialty drinks and
heavy hors d?oeuvres provided by Palate New Orleans. Décor will be
provided by CHL Linens.

The Studio Residents? installations are being generously sponsored by
J. Kerry Clayton & Paige Royer and Shell. Entertainment will feature
Fredy Omar con su Cuarteto and participating restaurants include
Bayona, Benedict?s Plantation, Bradley?s Best, Byblos Restaurant,
Drago?s Seafood Restaurant, Emeril?s, Lil? Dizzy?s Café, Mélange at
the Ritz, Mr. B?s Bistro, Palate New Orleans, PJ?s Coffee & Tea, WOW
Café Wingery and Zea Rotisserie.
