Relay For Life of New Orleans, May 30


WHAT: Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fund-raising event. The fun-filled overnight event is designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.

WHEN: Saturday, May 30; 3 p.m. to 3 a.m.
The luminaria ceremony will start at 9 p.m.

WHERE: Relay For Life of New Orleans, Lakefront Arena

ACTIVITIES: Performances by New Orleans Hornets senior dance troupe Used-to-Bees; trumpeter Troy Sawyer; singer-song writer Gabrilla Ballard, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and N.O. Charter Science & Math Spoken Word/Life Shop Class
