Celebrity Bartender Bash and Learn to Dance like a Pro!

Local celebrities from artists to musicians will trade their day
jobs for a cocktail shaker as La Thai Uptown hosts a once-a-month
Celebrity Bartender Bash. Guest bartenders will create a signature
cocktail for guests to sample at no charge. In addition,
complimentary hors d'ouevres will be offered and special drink
prices. On, Thursday, May 28 from 5-7 p.m., La Thai welcomes ABC-26
Morning Show host Cyndi Nguyen and ABC-26 Food Editor and food
writer Lorin Gaudin, who will be serving up creative signature
specialties.

But, the fun doesn't stop there! Want to be fierce on the floor?
Join local dance experts twice a week at La Thai and learn to dance
like a pro! Salsa Tuesdays offer a beginner class from 6-6:45 p.m.
every Tuesday and an intermediate class is available from 6:45-7:45

Then, the tango takes center stage on Thursday nights when Alberto
Paz and Valorie Hart conduct a group lesson starting at 7pm for $15
per person, then hold an open practice session from 8:30-10 p.m.

In addition, owner Diana Chauvin invites guests to throw on a
sarong or brightly colored Hawaiian shirt, grab a lei and head to
La Thai Uptown for Tiki Thursdays from 5-7pm every Thursday.
Located at 4938 Prytania Street, the Uptown restaurant and bar from
the owners of Bangkok Cuisine, will be serving up 2 for 1 classic
Tiki-style cocktails and complimentary Tiki-inspired hors d'oeuvres
every Thursday evening. Enjoy your favorite fruit-based libations
including Blue Hawaiian, Mai Tai, Scorpion, Fog Cutter and Zombie.

And, end your week on a high note with La Thai's "Happy Ending
Fridays" every Friday from 5-9 p.m. Enjoy $3 call drinks and $2
Abita beer as you listen to the cool sounds of Greg Bosse on guitar.

La Thai Uptown is open for lunch Tuesday thru Saturday from 11am
until 3pm and on Sunday from noon until 3pm. Dinner hours are
Tuesday thru Saturday from 5pm until 10pm and on Sunday from 5pm
