The Carousel Bar has been welcoming celebrities, local and tourists to
the 24-seat
revolving bar since 1949. Hotel Monteleone is closing down the 200
block of Royal Street and taking the celebration to the street to
coincide with the New Orleans Wine and Food Experiece?s Royal Street
Stroll. The carnival-themed celebration with feature Johnny Angel and
the Swingin Deamons, swing dancers, prizes
and 1940s anniversary cocktails at 1940s prices. Benefits: The New
Orleans carousel in City Park.
