Fitzmorris, Jr. Tulane University's playwright-in-residence, Jim Fitzmorris, presents a world of racially charged campaigns, lifelong friends struggling against one another for control of New Orleans with the Superdome as the ultimate football. Exploring the racial integration of New Orleans in the 1950's, and the office of district attorney, Jim Garrison, Soul of the City is a collaborative venture with Xavier University. Graduate student Leah Farrelly as scenic designer, undergraduate students Selena Poznak as lighting designer and Jennifer Hebner as costume designer join Podewell's creative team as well as graduate student Liz Waldman as sound designer. The ensemble cast includes Kameron Moore-Mitchell of Xavier University and Ben Piemont and Sarah Yaboa of Tulane University.
