WHAT: Fine arts consultant and author Margo Moscou discusses the rare and beautiful furniture created by free people of color in antebellum New Orleans as part of the Louisiana State Museum’s monthly Ya-Ya history series.

BACKGROUND: Margo Moscou is the author of New Orleans Free-Men-of-Color Cabinetmakers in the New Orleans Furniture Trade. She received a Master of Arts from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Colorado.
