In “Parallel,” JT Blatty demonstrates her passion for the prehistoric and photography as she explores the symmetry between the fossil and the human form. While searching for the commonalities between the ancient and the current, she brings the two worlds together in an unusual and provocative set of images, combining portions of the human figure juxtaposed with fossils she has collected over the years
. The exhibition will also include a separate display of fossils from the images.

DJ Ronnie Roux bio:
In high school, he always had a liking to play the music at everyone’s house party. Stepping into the club scene as a patron, he quickly made friends with the DJ in every nightclub he went to. Then, the luckiest break ever, a resident DJ at a club he went to was ready to retire. With an offer no 19 year old guy could refuse, he took that DJ job w...

St. Paul Lutheran Church invites the public to attend a “St. Paul in the Marigny Festival Weekend.” This year, St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, located at 2624 Burgundy Street in New Orleans, is observing its 170th anniversary serving the community.
On Saturday, September 4, 2010, there will be an outdoor/indoor gumbo fest from noon
to 6 PM. Gumbo and other refreshments will be for sale. At 7:00 PM, Capricious Productions will present an original 2 act comedy with music, “Out the Inn.” A diamond theft along with some snakes on the loose make for a wild weekend at a quiet inn where the guests include birdwatchers, a new age guru, a shady senator, and some sassy meter maids. On Sunday, September 5, the gumbo fest will be from noon to 3:00 PM. A matinee performance of “Out the Inn” will take place at 4:00.
Suggested donations for tickets for the play are Adults $6.00 and Children (12 and under) $3.00. All proceeds from the event will benefit LINC New Orleans, a non-profit group ...
