37th Annual Faubourg Marigny Spring Home & Garden Tour
What: During this self-guided home tour, visitors will get an inside look at the treasures hidden behind the facades of New Orleans' oldest homes. This year the tour will feature six private residences that have been reinvented and reborn and showcase the architectural diversity the make the Marigny such a unique place. Two of the homes, one once being a small warehouse and the other an old mill factory are reinvented space. The other homes have undergone major renovations and have been reborn. In addition to the tour, there will be an art market with over 40 artists in Washington Square Park (700 Elysian Fields) where guests can buy fine art, photography, jewelry, crafts, accessories, mosaics, home furnishings and more from: Amzie Adams, Annie Hendrix, Bedonna Magid-Wakeman , Bonnie Miller, Caren Nowak,Michael Clement , David Bergeron, Dorit Pittman, Elsie Taylor, Gary Rosenblatt, Ginger Kelly, Hannah Cohen , Heather Elizabeth , Heather Newell , Heidi Diekelman , Jane Brewster, Jeanette "Cori" Akins , Jennifer Chenevert , Juliette Hare O'Connor , Kathleen S. A Kids Activity area has been created that will feature lots of fun activities for kids to participate during the Home Tour. Come have lunch at one of our great restaurants or pack a picnic and spend a leisurely day in the park. Throughout the evening following the celebration, bars and restaurants throughout the neighborhood will host after-hours celebrations of the neighborhood, with more live music and delicious New Orleans food.
