10th Gay Easter Parade Rolls Through the Streets of the French Quarter April 12

Presented by Ambush Mag and Queen Fashions, the 10th Gay Easter Parade will roll through the streets of the French Quarter on Easter Sunday, April 12. The parade minus expenses benefits Food For Friends, a vital agency of the NO/AIDS Task Force. Past parades have raised over $48,125 for charity.

Led by Easter Grand Marshals X Tony Leggio & Marcy Marcell, the 2009 route is slightly different towards the end of the parade. Line-up is on N. Rampart across the street from Pre-Parade Party and Line-up headquarters, Starlight By The Park, 834 N. Rampart. Beginning at 4:30pm, the parade turns left on St. Ann to Bourbon, left of Bourbon to Esplanade, right on Esplanade to Royal, right on Royal to St. Louis, right on St. Louis to N. Rampart, right on N. Rampart to Toulouse, right on Toulouse to Burgundy, left on Burgundy ending at the corner of Burgundy and Orleans, right down the block for the Post-Parade Party and Buffet at 700 Club, 700 Burgundy.

The time schedule for Easter Sunday is as follows: 2-4:30pm, Pre-Parade Party, Check-in (3:30-4pm), Line-up and Buffet, Starlight By The Park, 834 N. Rampart St.;

4:30pm, 10th Gay Easter Parade, through the streets of the French Quarter
