St. Paul Lutheran Church invites the public to attend a “St. Paul in the Marigny Festival Weekend.” This year, St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, located at 2624 Burgundy Street in New Orleans, is observing its 170th anniversary serving the community.
On Saturday, September 4, 2010, there will be an outdoor/indoor gumbo fest from noon
to 6 PM. Gumbo and other refreshments will be for sale. At 7:00 PM, Capricious Productions will present an original 2 act comedy with music, “Out the Inn.” A diamond theft along with some snakes on the loose make for a wild weekend at a quiet inn where the guests include birdwatchers, a new age guru, a shady senator, and some sassy meter maids. On Sunday, September 5, the gumbo fest will be from noon to 3:00 PM. A matinee performance of “Out the Inn” will take place at 4:00.

At 7:00 PM, Capricious Productions will present an original 2 act comedy with music, “Out the Inn.” A diamond theft along with some snakes on the loose make for a wild weekend at a quiet inn where the guests include birdwatchers, a new age guru, a shady senator, and some sassy meter maids. On Sunday, September 5, the gumbo fest will be from noon to 3:00 PM. A matinee performance of “Out the Inn” will take place at 4:00.

The Literacy Alliance is sponsoring a holiday tour of Bed and Breakfast Houses along Esplanade Ridge. Tickets are $20 and all proceeds benefit adult and family literacy services in the Greater New Orleans area. Starting point is Ashton's Bed and Breakfast at 2023 Esplanade Avenue.
